Both born in 1990, Luca and Dino have embodied the soul of Steak House Bormio since 2016. Both from Puglia and long-time friends, they have brought a burst of energy and unparalleled dedication to their customers. Their cuisine offers an extraordinary variety of dishes, ranging from succulent meats to delicious traditional Apulian fish dishes. Despite market challenges, their approach has won the hearts of both tourists and residents. Always with an eye to the future, Luca and Dino continue to innovate and renew for the good of the Bormio community.
Our history
Our premises once housed the Peloni pharmacy, founded by Giuseppe Peloni in 1826.
It was in these rooms that his son, Francesco, a pharmacist chemist, created a unique recipe in 1875, that of a bitter made from botanicals gathered on Mount Braulio. This was the birth of Amaro Braulio. Braulio soon made its way into the heart of Valtellina, beginning to be distributed beyond the borders of Bormio.
Due to its growing success, in the early 1970s, it became necessary to move the pharmacy, obtaining the production plant in the old rooms. In 2000, another transformation: the premises once used for bottling were turned into a restaurant where the bitter could be enjoyed, an evolution completed in 2014 with the opening of the Steak House where you are now.
Beneath your feet, four floors down, Braulio is still produced and rests for the months necessary for ageing, in a network of 6600 square metres of cellars below the town of Bormio.

In the centre of Bormio, The Steak House offers a wide selection of fine meats for all tastes. Tartare, carpaccio, bresaola, lardo, beef offered in all its tastiest cuts, from fillet to rib eye. We also offer lamb and poultry, succulent pork dishes, gourmet burgers and a wide selection of local cured meats. Our cuisine is distinguished by authentic tastes and gives voice to unforgettable flavours.

In a cosy and familiar ambience, love for local raw materials meets creativity in the kitchen. Our passion is reflected in the care with which we select fresh, high-quality ingredients, respecting the territory and its excellence. In harmony with our Apulian roots, we also organise theme evenings with fish-based menus. We renovate the kitchen through modern techniques, to offer authentic flavours without giving up a contemporary touch.
Bar & Cafè
Good taste and refinement in ‘The Steak House’ bar and, of course, a wide selection of drinks, wines and appetisers for a golden hour at the top.
Our bar, located above the historic Braulio cellars, a maze that winds its way beneath the town of Bormio, offers an excellent opportunity to explore a rich selection of drinks, both local and non. Sassella with its refinement, Sforzato with its robust personality, and iconic local liqueurs such as Braulio are perfect to round off unforgettable evenings. The offer is also complete with artisanal ice creams, affogati and platters of high-quality cold meats and cheeses.

Spectacular!
We ordered 2 Braulio tasting menus, everything was really perfect. Bresaola sublime, crostini with lard to die for. Pizzoccheri to eat endlessly, venison salmì with polenta of exaggerated goodness and finally crema catalana exceptional. Excellent beers and fabulous closing Braulio. Excellent and attentive service. Go there and you will not be disappointed.
